Do you feel that? There’s a crisp breeze in the air, and the leaves are starting to change colors. It’s officially fall! With this change of season comes new fun. Here are a few ways you can enjoy all of the best things about fall.

  • Decorate Your Home

This season is all about creating a serene and comfortable space. Some simple additions like a festive wreath, fall-scented candles, plaid pillows and chunky knit blankets will warm up your home when the temperatures drop. Take a walk outside and find some leaves and pinecones for a DIY centerpiece. Add a seasonal doormat outside your front door for functionality and festivity.

    • Head to the Farm

Local farms are the ultimate source of unbe-leaf-able fall fun! Go apple picking to find the perfect ingredient for a homemade pie. Walk through the pumpkin patch and scout out your ideal pumpkin to carve. Enjoy a hayride after you make your way through the corn maze. The farm also provides an ideal backdrop for family photos.
    • Nature Hike

It won’t be long until temperatures move into the single digits. This fall weather is perfect to spend a day outside! Hit the trails and take in all of the rich colors of the foliage while you enjoy the crisp fresh air. Check out Travel Wisconsin’s list of hiking trails to find one near you.
    • Make a Family Recipe

The taste and smell of food is an effective trigger for memories. Eating a specific dish can bring you back to a time and place and remind you of the people you shared it with. The powerful nostalgia of food makes it a great family tradition to pass down through generations. If you don’t have a special family recipe yet, now is the perfect time to create one. You don’t need to be a chef — just get creative!

  • Have a campfireBuild a campfire in the backyard and gather round to tell spooky stories, sing campfire songs or reminisce on fond memories. Enjoy each other’s company by the crackling fire and don’t forget to grab the s’mores supplies!

This season is all about enjoying time together and taking full advantage of the beautiful fall weather and scenery. So what is first on your list?
